Help! Leopard Gecko >:I [Dec. 16th, 2010|08:27 pm]

She hates meeee! Well, I suppose she has tamed up a little. Her name is Sausage. She's a super hypo tangerine carrot tail I believe. She does let me handle her a little,I can scoop her up in her tank and let her climb about on me, but she really doesn't like it. She doesn't like being picked up, and I'd really like to take her out of her tank but I'm terrified she'll jump. What does it take to make a leo drop their tails too? Because I'm really scared of her dropping it, and I think thats what makes me a little wary when I handle her.

She hates when you have cold hands too, and with the winter now in full swing and poor circulation to my hands, she doesnt want me anywhere near her :( I got her last october and she was only about a couple weeks old then, so I've had her over a year and its hearbreaking that I can hardly handle her!

It's a shame, because she's quite beautiful. I see some people on youtube with super friendly leos and it makes me sad that I cant get her to be like that :( Do you guys have any tips? Secret hints? Or is it just down to me really buckling down and bugging her all the time? Or maybe she's just a bitch lol.

Hi! New member, first post. I would very much like to acquire a gecko, preferably a leopard gecko. Does anyone know of somewhere (other than pet stores) that I might find one? I've fallen in love, what can I say?

I posted about a week ago how my anole only likes wax worms. Now he likes mill worms too. I heard crickets were the best because gut load but he won't eat then could he be sick . Should I take him to the vet, My friend said put a cricket in there and don't give him wax or mill worms he will eat that cricket if he get hugry enough. I don want to starve him.

Hi Im new to this community.
I  have a bearded dragon, his name is Fugly the poor sod haah, he likes to snuggle up before his bedtime,  he likes to come up and have a cuddle, he'll fall asleep on my chest snuggled into mine or my mums hair =) he's the bestest thing ever, I've had him from being just a tiny little thing of a few months old so im pretty in love with him haha

does anybody else have a great monster who just owns the house!? lol Fugs demands to be out evey day and runs all over the living room before finding either a really sunny warm spot or a really dark warm spot, depending on his mood. To be honest Im pretty worried about him, all throughout this winter, he's done nothing but bug me to be out for a run every single day without fail!!
He just sits on the windowsill and watches the world go by bless him.

please comment.. I'm on live journal to make friends and discuss my hobbies, so also feel free to add me :)
thank you.
Abby

I have a crested gecko named zeke, hes about 8 months old.  Hes a little happy guy, jumping everywhere all the time.  I have in a 29 gallon exo terra with repti carpet substrate and a lot of fake plants and vines for him to jump around and sleep on.  And since i live in wisconsin and it gets realll cold here in the winter i have a heat lamp for him, its usually around 72 degrees.  And i spray him like 3 times a day.

Question about Uros [Nov. 5th, 2008|03:45 pm]

I think this may be my first time posting here...but I have a question.

I have a juvenile [about 8 inches long] male Mali Uromastyx. I've had him since January...he's incredibly active & friendly.

I was thinking about getting a tank mate for him. The only problem is, I don't even know where to start...every site that I research is contradicting the next.

Do any of you have experience with housing different subspecies [? I'm not sure if its subspecies or what. For example: a mali and a saharan, etc.] or sexes of uros together?

Or is he better off alone?
